JLE was engaged to provide resources to investigate and replace a significant amount of damaged electrical equipment and cabling caused by a fire in McKechnie’s workshop.
JLE had two major components to this project which were to modernize the Emergency Lighting system including Investigating and defining the work scope, providing a certified lighting design and then completing and commissioning the system over an 20,000²m area. This involved navigating through existing operational and new plant. JLE also installed an additional 100 High bay LED lights in the surrounding areas. The second activity was to supply and install cable supports systems and eight new switchboards. The cable systems were required to be run at height and additional seismic restraints were installed to ensure the installation complied with modern standards. JLE’s scope of work primarily included Supply, Installation & Commissioning of a MCC Switchboard, 7x Sub-boards, 1000 meters of Cable support systems and over 170 Light fittings.
